MAVD Director to Receive American Defense Community Champion Award

JACKSONVILLE, Florida — Harrison Conyers, Director of the City of Jacksonville’s Military and Veteran Affairs Department (MAVD), will receive the American Defense Community Champion Award during a ceremony on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Mayor Donna Deegan and several other dignitaries will attend the ceremony, which is being hosted by the City of Jacksonville/ Military and Veteran Affairs Department and Navy Federal Credit Union, in partnership with the Association of Defense Communities.
