How long have you been in your industry?since February 2024
Why did you choose your industry?A hidden battle consumes those in charge, gripping their hearts and minds. They lead. They carry the dreams of their teams, stakeholders, and organizations. They make tough decisions. They face future uncertainty and navigate through change. Yet, they feel they must wear a stoic, invincible mask. They are afraid to show their weaknesses and fears. I was in those shoes, I lived it, I lived the silent struggle with stress and apprehension, with no help. I biggest achievement was because of my team members, every individual I have worked with contributed in some way to my growth, learning and success. So I personally had the obligation to help back, to give back in a way that would make it easier for them and for others in similar situation. Fast-forward, I architected the Ascendancy Action(TM) System) to deliver transformational coaching and training for personal and professional development with tangible outcomes. It took me some time to bring the experience and learning of past 25 years into consumable frameworks and steps that are easy to follow, create a system that is easy to use, and follow latest scientific methods of training that increases the adoption of concepts through daily micro learning, showing tangible transformation in everyday life.
Who are your typical clients?Short answer Executives, Leaders, Managers, anyone aspiring to be one! Leadership is not a position, it is a mindset. I wanted to clarify before listing out typical clients, reason being, my immediate focus is in the mid-size market, where the shift to the next upper bracket (of their revenue) from current situation can happen very quickly and with minimal investment, what I am seeing is that they mostly need direction and commitment, that said, the cost of negative impact to these companies is huge, and mostly multiplicative, as these companies are positioned or positioning to play multiple roles in their respective eco-system. You see, not just the Executives in these organizations, even the decision makers at lower levels in these organizations are critical Leaders in their respective eco-system. They are under the influence of the same silent struggle. They need help, they can grow, they can make a difference too!
What do you like best about being in this industry?A lot of learning and unlearning daily, it's fascinating to learn the experience people have and every single time I am blown away by the creation of GOD and Mother Nature, how everyone of us are so Same and Different at the same time. Being able to extract nuggets of learnings and experiences and shaping a new path for an individual, a team, a company, it's just a phenomenal experience.
What are common problems you see?It is the stigma with the name "Coach" in Business. Like I have said time and again, we always give metaphors and examples and quotes from sports and coaches, we always say we are looking for the next best PLAYER on our TEAM, but then when it comes time to talk about having a Business Coach, most people shy away. I have heard more excuses of not having a business coach then to have a fax machine in offices today. The fact is that every successful individual has a coach with them, it has been the best kept secret of Fortune 100 companies.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Leadership isn’t just about intellect and strategy; it’s about emotional intelligence, resilience, and self-awareness. Coaching provides a safe harbor for leaders to explore their mental health, develop coping mechanisms, and ultimately lead from a place of balance and authenticity. So, when I see a leader transform their stress into strength, embrace vulnerability, and prioritize their mental well-being, I know we’re not just shaping better leaders—we’re shaping a healthier, more compassionate world.
When is your busy season?Never lol
What keeps you up at night? Will I be able to serve my Purpose?
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business? My immediate focus is to help with removing the stigma of Coaching and getting Leaders to get over the apprehension to ask for help. They don't have to come to me, go to someone, go to anyone, go and get some HELP! My focus has been to get the Digital platform out, next is the Book out in Fall 2024, along with Podcast series, starting Keynote engagements on the subject too. ow I am engaging with other professionals and partners in the space to see how we can partner to bring this subject of much needed support for Mental Health to Limelight.
How involved are you in the community?Helping other Coaches and Providers in the space to figure out ways to help with coming up with creative ways to support Mental Health problems in different professions and situations.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (The Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children's)
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?People need help! Come in with mindset of service first, relation second, and grow together!! Like sports, winning in business is 80% mindset and can only be provided and developed by appropriate coaching and mentoring. And just like sports, the focus has to be to develop the player first, which is the service, bring the team together (internally or externally with vendors and customers), which is relation, you will have a winning plan and game every single time.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Cooking, Walking on the seaside watching sunrise / sunset, meditation
