Brian Sexton

Jaguars’ broadcaster Brian Sexton embarks on his 31st NFL season in the fall of 2024 and is one of only three people who has seen all 598 games the Jaguars have played since their Inaugural Season in 1995.

Sexton joined the Jaguars in October of 1994 as the “Voice of the Jaguars” which was a role he held through the first 19 seasons of Jaguars football. In addition to calling the games on the Jaguars Radio Network he hosted weekly coach’s radio and television shows and contributed to Jaguars programing in a variety of ways.

In 2014 he took on the duties of Jaguars.com senior correspondent and has brought insight and opinion to Jaguars Media with a unique perspective and understanding of the club that few in north Florida can match. He currently co-hosts Jags A.M., Jags Wired and contributes to both radio and digital efforts for the Jaguars media team. 

In 2017 he became the play by play announcer for the Jaguars pre-season television broadcasts working with Fred Taylor, Mark Brunell, Leon Searcy and Bucky Brooks. 

In 2022 Brian took on additional duties working with the Jaguars Legends program where he works with former players in a variety of programs and events and writes and edits the Jaguars Legends Newsletter.

From 2002-2004 Sexton worked NFL Europe game broadcasts for Fox Sports and the NFL Network.

Over 30 years with the Jaguars and in Jacksonville he’s become one of the most sought-after speakers and emcees in north Florida and lends his time and support to a variety of organizations and causes such as Emergency Assistance Ministry at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation, The Ronald McDonald House, The Women’s Help Center and various efforts within the Diocese of St. Augustine.

In April of 2000 he was a guest on ABC’s hit television series, “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” where he won $32,000 and was named to the Jacksonville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list. 

Brian, an Eagle Scout has long been involved with the North Florida Council of the Boy Scouts of America and Troop 15 in Atlantic Beach. He has been awarded the Silver Beaver Award, the District Award of Merit and recognized as a Distinguished Eagle Scout. In 2024 he was named an Honoree at the Jacksonville America Values Gala. 

Brian and his wife Jennifer are longtime residents of Atlantic Beach with their sons Keegan (23), Rian (19) and Kolbe (18) who are also Eagle Scouts.
