Speaker 1
They will. Welcome to another episode of Making a Difference. I’m your host, Tony Davis, owner of Crestcom Leadership Development here in Northeast Florida and making a difference to me is helping people grow their leadership so they can make a positive impact in their world. And I did not say workplace. I said world because when we learn to lead, it transcends the four walls of the workplace.

Speaker 1
And I have a leader, a servant leader with me here today. Adam Canni with Wraps Direct.

Speaker 2
Adam, Tony, great to see you. Thanks for having.

Speaker 1
Me on you. Absolutely. You have a lot going on. That’s quote unquote making a difference. Talk to us about the two impacts that you have. You have a, project, a couple big projects on a nonprofit. Let’s start with a project.

Speaker 2
Yeah. So, Tony, we’re proud to say I’m celebrating our 10th year in business here in Jacksonville. Congratulations on 20 years here as a Jacksonville, citizen. And, just enjoying this community. Love it. To death. But my son and I, we started a rap business here ten years ago, and, with the goal of supporting and serving our community and, throughout the years, we’ve grown now to have a national presence.

Speaker 2
And that’s brought over quite a few opportunities our way. Most recently, this last year, we had an opportunity to work with, with Guy Fieri and Guy Fieri Foundation to develop a, rather unique food trailer. And this trailer was designed to support, FEMA and first responders in the event of an emergency here in the state of Florida.

Speaker 2
Or South Georgia. So the trailer is, it’s 47ft long. It’s got a rotisserie smoker, and they can feed 1500 meals a day out of it. So really pretty proud about that. And, and that now has led to an opportunity to support, a similar nonprofit that kind of is combining forces with with God’s Farm Foundation, and that’s tunnels to towers.

Speaker 2
I’m sure a lot of people are familiar with their, their mission and, worked with first responders and, and veterans. So we’re looking forward to making an impact in that capacity as well.

Speaker 1
So wow. That’s a that is a huge outreach. And it can have definitely a huge impact, for first responders. And that’s great. And you’re talking about this food trucks making me hungry.

Speaker 2
I’m sure it’s going to be good food too, because, you know guys quite the chef.

Speaker 1
Yes. Yes he is.

Speaker 2
Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 1
And you just started a nonprofit as well, didn’t you? Yeah. Actually talk a little bit about the impact that that has and why that’s so important to you.

Speaker 2
Absolutely. Well, I don’t know if any of you guys know, but I’ve been a motorcycle enthusiast now. Well, since, since my 10th birthday, when somehow my dad convinced mom to give me a bike. And, And I’ve always enjoyed motorcycling. It’s a great way to to to be free. Right? And, to experience freedom. And, and I’ve met so many great people throughout the years.

Speaker 2
And, as a Christian, this last year, I really felt called to, you know, I’ve met so many people and witnessed a few motorcycle fatalities. These younger people here in town that are not riding, like, like the normal people and going through traffic, they’re doing things that are risky. And it’s costing lives. I think we’ve lost at least one motorcyclist, a week for this entire last year, 2025.

Speaker 2
So. So I decided, after some prayerful consideration, to start a nonprofit. It’s called Christ Crew. We’re in the process of filing for our nonprofit status. So right now our website is Christ crew.com. So if you are a motorcyclist, whether you’re Christian or not, we’d love to meet you. I’d love to ride with you. We have a lot of great plans on how we’re going to not only, you know, bring Christ and outreach to, to motorcyclists that maybe would never go through the four walls of, of our church.

Speaker 2
But, also the goal there is to, is to serve non-profits in this, in its local community, things like see Mark Ranch and Hadassah Hope, we’re going to do a lot of fundraising, motorcycle rallies and other things like that. Poker runs to raise money and and create awareness for some of these nonprofits. There’s so many deserving nonprofits here in Jacksonville.

Speaker 1
There really are. And that’s a great way to make a difference, because you’re right there in that, community of bikers, there may not there are some that will never walk through the doors of a church for whatever reason. Maybe they’re, the bad, bad experiences or who knows how they feel about that. So true. So this is a great way, to get in, get them into an organization that can hopefully lead them to Christ.

Speaker 2
That’s the goal. Ultimately, you know, and I said, I think there’s just, there’s some great people out there, motorcycles, but they’re not all Christian and but, but I do believe at the heart of many motorcyclists, these people have a really good heart. And I think if we could just show them through, our ministry, what what it’s like to be Christian, what it’s all about.

Speaker 2
And, and the impact that we can have together. There’s obviously one way I can do a lot, but many can do to quite a bit more in our community. So really the goal here is to is to reach out, to be able to, not only do it through our church here in the community, which for me is 1122, but to reach to other churches and other motorcycles throughout the community and unite everybody with the cause of serving the Jacksonville greater community.

Speaker 1
Yeah, that’s that’s that’s outstanding. You’ve talked a lot about what you’re doing for the community as far as outreach and making a difference.

Speaker 2
Yes, sir.

Speaker 1
Let’s dive in there. Raps direct. What what do you do for companies as far as the services and the products you provide?

Speaker 2
Well, thank you for asking. So yeah, as I mentioned, we as we are celebrating our 10th year in business, we are, father and son company. And, we just love helping people in this local community. We, we meet a lot of folks that are, in the home service space only. I know you spent many years, in your career in the home service space.

Speaker 2
And we’re trying to give these small entrepreneurs the guys with one, two, three vehicles, you know, at least a competitive, strike in the community. Because at the end of the day, there’s a lot of large hedge funds that are coming in and they’re buying up these companies, and the home service space has really become very difficult for either people to start a business in that space, or do they basically continue to be successful with one, two, three vehicles?

Speaker 2
How do you compete against the bigger players that are here in town? So to be able to give them, you know, I say the ad agency quality graphic design work, something that is going to have visual impact and then tying that all together with a campaign that drives traffic to their website where people can engage with a form fill.

Speaker 2
And, oftentimes we tie that to a CRM. So now we can start to understand the metrics of what a vehicle campaign is actually doing for that client.

Speaker 1
Yeah. That’s great. And you’re so right. You’re it is. There are so many private equities that are coming in. And each week all of these companies. And that changes the whole dynamic of the company. Absolutely does because it goes from we used to provide exceptional service to now we’re just concerned about the bottom line.

Speaker 2
It very much is. And and I think what’s happening here with this, this kind of a monopoly that’s happening in home services and I don’t think it’s exclusive to Jacksonville. I think this is happening throughout our nation. And, but it’s it’s actually creating a situation where people are price locks and fixing the prices and sending prices higher.

Speaker 2
So what does this mean for the average consumer? Obviously the local entrepreneur is going to suffer. But the consumer I think also is impacted. By by this type of, strategy. And a lot of times they won’t they won’t necessarily change the name of the company. So it’ll look like an existing company that’s been in business for 30 years.

Speaker 2
Right. Rather than combining it is saying, okay, it’s part of this bigger thing now. So people still think that it’s a local owned business, when in fact it’s actually owned by a by hedge fund. So, so some good and some bad in that, I mean, obviously consolidation is a great thing in our industry. Will be on helping local entrepreneurs.

Speaker 2
Tony. The other big why for me is I love working with schools and children, if you can imagine. So we go into a schools and we transform those spaces with dynamic wall wraps, messages, terrific messages and famous quotes, school pride and to be able to do that in a place that’s sometimes very institutional, a lot of the schools we go into, unlike schools when we were young, don’t have windows, and they seem like jails, for lack of a better way.

Speaker 2
Saying it and being able to, go in there and create a place that’s dynamic, that’s exciting, that gets the kids excited and knowing they were having an impact with those young lives and maybe, maybe changing the course of their, education and their future is, is pretty exciting proposition for us, and one that we’re extremely proud of.

Speaker 1
That’s wonderful. How can the folks watching today get Ahold of you?

Speaker 2
Yes. So, our website is, wrap’s direct.com. So I encourage you to go there. If you once you get there, there’s going to be a, contact us link. Speaker 2
Thank you Tony, I appreciate you.

Speaker 1
You got it. And that wraps up another episode of Making a Difference. And I’m your host, Tony Davis. Appreciate you watching. And until next time, make it a great day.
