Chris
Welcome to Industry Champions. I’m your host Chris Budihas. And joining me virtually is Cliff Lewis with Infinity Technology Solutions. Cliff. How are you?
Cliff
I’m fantastic Chris how are you?
Chris
I’m doing great, man. Where are you from originally and what you do in the military?
Cliff
Yeah, thank you for that. Yeah. I’m originally from Colorado. Believe it or not. Yeah. I spent, did a stint in the active duty and Air National Guard, predominantly in the communications space. So UHF, VHF, HF transmission systems. And then, in the guard ended up getting some exposure to satcom and wideband. Okay. Great technology.
Chris
Yeah. And that’s a couple of decades ago.
Cliff
It.
Chris
Is not that not that you’re old. You’re a young looking man. But no, I mean, obviously all that stuff, continues to be relevant. And you really. I took a look. You know, we connected on LinkedIn, which is an extremely powerful tool. You’ve been in this this, communications IT space for a while. So, you know, obviously, you got to I mean, my perception is you have a passion for it.
Chris
So. So how’s that journey been?
Cliff
Yeah. No, it’s it’s fantastic. I, you know, as I alluded to in our, in our kind of back and forth, I. Yeah, I feel really fortunate. You know, starting my career in the Air Force and getting exposure to a lot of these, these technologies and, and then at dovetailing right into sort of the, you know, the communications industry itself as a whole.
Cliff
So, you know, making that transition over time and getting exposure to, you know, both, both, let’s call it RF systems and broadcast systems and then getting exposure to, you know, overall, you know, software development software systems as well has been fantastic.
Chris
So what does Infinity Tech do for the for our audience that doesn’t know that?
Cliff
Sure. Yeah. Sure sure. So Infinity Tech is a boutique, software, company where we do software engineering services. We do technical services. Predominantly we focus on the cable telecom, broadcaster space. Okay. And develop solutions for, for the teams there to help, do the bulk provisioning to basically manage all their services and infrastructure. So we’ve got a mix of products, technical services, technical PMS, the host to really support, you know, big players like Comcast, charter and those types of folks.
Chris
Okay. I’ve heard of all those. Okay.
Cliff
Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Chris
So, so for the company, are you servicing clients? I mean, I know I can imagine nationwide potentially global and correct. Yeah.
Cliff
It’s it’s it’s it’s mostly it’s mostly national at this point. I mean so yeah, our, our our biggest, our biggest customer today is, is really charter as an example. And and and it’s not regional. So we deal mostly with the national activities that charter does. We have an office in Port Richey. So we’re still we’re still Florida.
Cliff
We’re still Florida centric, but we’ve got team members in Denver, and team members, you know, kind of sprinkled throughout in different areas, you know, North Carolina, etc.. But that’s a that’s our number one. Service area today.
Chris
Since we’re international because we have people dialing in from across the, you know, from Switzerland, Australia, Japan. So, you know, value propositions there, other companies in the space. What’s your guys’s value proposition? Why infinity tech and not somebody else?
Cliff
Yeah. No, that’s a that’s a fantastic part. So the biggest value prop for us, Chris, is, is that, our, our team, our senior leadership team, myself included, Eric Beach, Lenny Millimeters, we’re industry veterans. We’ve spent most of our time, in the, in the either the cable and the cable and telecom space, DoD space and my in my case.
Cliff
Yeah. So when when folks choose infinity, they get, a group of folks that that really understand their domain, that understand not only, their business, but also their operational footing, the cadence to the, to in terms of how they do their business and how they run their networks. Yeah. So we’re very agile, being somewhat small, smaller than we are.
Cliff
And so we can we can really do a lot of niche things that the some of the larger companies just, you know, have a difficult time doing.
Chris
And if you know, my I mean, this is a hot topic, you know, I’ll use I’ll use the term I, I mean, this space is taken off. I got to imagine you guys are in this space. You’re watching it. And then with your clients, I’ve noticed I’ve had conversations with folks in the business world who don’t have an IT background like you do, who know they need something, but they’re not sure what they need so they can have a company that can what’s really unpack, what’s the problem trying to solve and build towards that vice.
Chris
I saw with the French company last week thrown a lot of money at a problem that they said we I but they were buying the wrong device, the wrong wrench to to fix what is essentially a hammer issue.
Cliff
Sure. No, no. That’s great. So so I as a I mean, I have to sort of excuse myself a little bit here. I was a little skeptical initially. Right. Yeah. And I have to tell you, but, it’s a force multiplier, for the, for folks when it’s used correctly. And so we, we employ AI both in our development stack as well as our solution, so that we see that there’s going to be a significant opportunity there to expose AI to some degree to our customer base.
Cliff
And, and definitely it is something that is, is valuable, to both software development teams and operational folks as well. A lot of the folks that are doing technical services and so forth. So, yeah, I, I’m a we’re a big proponent of it. We certainly employed employee infinity tech. And we see that it’ll, it’ll certainly be you know, continuing forward for sure.
Chris
Yeah. And Cliff, you’re in northeast law like I am. We have a heavy military veteran presence. You know, one out of four households have either active duty, guard, reserve or a veteran living in the house. And of course, their families come along with that proposition. So, I mean, a number of folks and there’s a number of, you know, service members are looking to to, lead the service or other people that are in their veteran community that are looking to pivot into a new career field, specifically in it.
Chris
Well, bits of advice do you have those that are looking to transition out of the military into the IT space?
Cliff
Yeah. No, that’s that’s that’s fantastic. I mean, I, I would encourage anyone that has a technical prowess or some technical exposure, especially, you know, I’ll defer to my friends in the Navy. The Navy has a great program. So it’s the Air Force as well. We’ve got some Navy veterans that work for us, at Info Infotech Tech.
Cliff
You know, my recommendation to the teams like that is, is to get out there, you know, make attempts to get in and, to get into these organizations, whether it be technical services initially or maybe system administration. Yeah. And and to be able to sort of, make your own opportunity. I was very fortunate to, to sort of make the a smooth transition, but I know that the cable and the telecom space is is a huge proponent of veterans, and I would encourage them to absolutely get out there and, and make yourself available.
Chris
That’s awesome. So, Cliff, how can folks find an affinity tech and how can they find you?
Cliff
Yeah. So, obviously I’m on LinkedIn. You can hit me up on LinkedIn. Our website is go to infinity.com with the number two. Go to infinity.com. Yeah. And hit me up on LinkedIn any time. I’m happy to engage in conversation and look at any kind of solutions we can provide for you as well.
Chris
Cliff number one, thanks for your service. The nation obviously didn’t do that. We couldn’t do this here today. Thanks for coming on to talk about Infinity Tech and what you’re doing in it. Some great advice for folks that are, you know, one, they might need your service. Then two folks that are looking at a potential career pivot and to where you’re at.
Chris
And so I again, I will encourage folks to connect with us on LinkedIn. And, you know, any follow on conversations definitely take you up on, reaching out and having a conversation. So thank you again.
Cliff
No, thank you, Chris, I appreciate it. Good luck to you.
Chris
All right folks, A take a look at what Cliff and I are doing on LinkedIn. Love. Connect with you. As stated and then Infinity Tech, take a look at their website. You know, might need the services. You might need just, a consultation or just a conversation about what you’re doing in this space and how you want to be ready as we move further into the 21st century.
Chris
We’ll see you next segment live across.
